Can a Canadian lease a car in Cali?

Hi quick question.

My nephew, a Canadian new college grad will be moving to LA to work for an IT company.

Would he be able to lease a car? Or would I have to co-sign?

Thanks in advance. I know this isn’t a tru leasehackr topic.

Some manufactures have a college grad program where they just need no derogatory marks on their credit history (if they have any) along with a letter of employment with their salary. I assume he is not a U.S. citizen, so a work visa might be required as well.

With a letter of employment and a TN visa he shouldn’t have any problems. I got a mortgage 6 months into my new job in California on a TN visa.
