Figured this would be of interest to the forum, especially in light of the person that stiffed @Jrouleau426 on the Porsche (don’t know if he was in CA or not). 3-day return window for used cars that have a sale price under $50K and have been driven for less than 400 miles. Restocking fee of $200 - $600 applies. Only applies to dealership to consumer sales (not private sales), and will become effective October of next year.
@holeydonut does this mean I could have returned my RS6? LOL
Did your BOL say it was your car the moment it hit the transporter? Or after you signed in NC? I don’t think you’d have enough time to reject the car under this act since it initially worked.
I’m also assuming the stuff you sign at closing will just add extra piece of paperwork that says you knowingly reject this CARS provision, the rescission period, and you don’t live in CA so you can go get rekt.
Plus the RS6 was likely not under $50k
This is DJRabbi we’re talking about. He only does cappi transactions.

This is great! Was one of the big perks of buying from CarMax in CA.
His car certainly wasn’t 50k. I bet losers will take advantage of this for 3 day rentals though.
That was already available through car maxvana right? And without the restocking fee of $200-600?
At the cost of getting their credit inquiries shotgunned every time they do it.
how does that work/ what does that mean?
Make social media account. Find the coolest used cars under 50k and pay cash. Shred them for a weekend. Rinse repeat and make a solid following. Would be funny if someone got rich exploiting this
