Cadillac XT5 good deal possible?

"Residual value is 57% and the money factor is .00039

I am using $1500 in rebates that come along with your zip code and an MSRP of $47300.00.

Without a Cadillac or GM lease in the house the payment changes.

$464.75 a month
$825.79 due at signing"

I just talk with a local dealer with the Cadillac XT5.
Looks like not bad, already below 1% (36/12)

Haven’t test drive one. I have test drive a 2013 Cadillac SRX which feels like to heavy.
Any suggestion?

I test drove a Premium Luxury and Platinum XT5 the last week in May. It felt fine, like a nice SUV should.

But I think it’s priced too highly. The fully loaded platinum I drove was $66k and that’s before the dealer added on $2k for hand applied pin striping and nitrogen…

I wouldn’t get a $47k base model, it just doesn’t seem very special to me. FWD, heated seats, and leather make a luxury car? I don’t think so.

The Platinum feels special with AWD, neat video mirror, leather and wood everywhere, but again it’s $66k. It’s also not that fast or sporty and doesn’t have any semi autonomous functions like the Volvo XC90 and upcoming XC60.

As a current Cadillac owner, I want to like it but I’m just finding it uninspiring and a bad value.

But GM does keep tempting me with offers. This month there’s a $1k owner loyalty and $1k Costco cash. If only it handled more like the ATS or CTS and were priced $10k less.

I’d go for premium luxury or luxury, forget about the platinum. You are paying an extra 8k (almost) for grilles, leather, and a video mirror.

Go with your gut. A dealer add on like pin striping and nitrogen is living in the wrong decade.
