Cadillac XT4 still too new for a decent lease?

Introduced last fall and they were leasing for higher payments than a better equipped, much higher MSRP XT5. Are they still too new to get a good deal? Better luck towards May or June?

So why not get a XT5?

agree with max_g, why not just get the XT5. high volume Cadillac dealerships have tons of these things sitting on the lot and some dealerships will give you an aggressive discount off the price. Dependent on the incentives/rebates at the time you could easily get 15-20%. It’s not that much bigger, and I found the new XT4 to just be a tad bit more sleek in the interior design. 2020 models wont be out in May/June will they? Would expect that is when you can start to get great deals on a 2019.

I just might! Although I prefer the smaller XT4 for city driving and XT5 looks a little dated (due for a 2020 refresh).

What are the numbers you’re seeing?

It’s only begun service as a 2017 MY. It’s only 3 model years old. The MCE is going to be very minimal for 2020, with the biggest change being a rotary dial inside for CUE

Have you test driven both? My vague recollection is that the XT5 has gotten fairly poor reviews, while the few XT4 reviews that are out indicate it’s a solid entry in its class (if a bit pricey). A better driver + smaller size (if you live in a heavily congested area) might be worth the extra cost…

Depends on who you pay attention to. I’ve seen reviews that say it’s underrared. I’ve seen reviews that say it’s unrefined. I take all reviews with a grain of salt unless they all say the same thing. Everyone has their opinions

Agreed. Which is why I recommended OP test drive it for him/herself, rather than just being tempted by the payment. Maybe they’ll love the XT5, in which case it’s a win-win.

I would seriously consider both XTs, but Cadillac only offers Adaptive Cruise in the Premium Luxury and Sport trims as an option. $50-55k for an XT4 and $60k+ for and XT5, if you can find one with it.

This is an option that I’ve had since 2015 and wouldn’t purchase any new car without it. Most Japanese cars between $25-35k now come with it standard.

Acura is one of the few luxury brands that include it standard in most models.

I have it and I don’t use ACC all that much.

I’ve driven both. They’re both perfectly fine. I prefer the size / design newness of the XT4 and will try to patiently wait for a decent payment. I’m not going to pay a premium for less car.

I was considering the xt4, but when I saw what they wanted for the goodies which is now being included in all Rav4’s, I am now looking elsewhere. I think the RAv4 Hybrid will be the one to beat. Cadillac where is Super Cruise?!

Still too new, I guess. April: XT5s with their $7K higher MSRP are leasing for same terms as XT4. XT5 V6 engine has 80 more hp over Turbo 4 in the XT4.

XT5 is looking long in the tooth is my only complaint (a major refresh at the beginning of my term would be a bummer). But it is a great deal at the moment, very temping.
