Had a test drive scheduled and the sales guy went to grab the key, returned and apologized profusely and said a stop sale was issued an hour before I showed up. He usually sells another brand so don’t blame him for not knowing. Sat in it, pretty nice, Luxury 3. Though had a blown door chime speaker. Not off to a good start.

Anyone have any info on this stop sale?
I heard that there was a Cadillac Lyriq STOP SALE announced to dealerships yesterday (8/2). Anyone know why?
What I found.
“As of today we have a Stop Sale on LYRIQ. Not all LYRIQs are affected. The Stop Sale pertains to certain vins. This is all of the info we have at this time.”

Any info on what VINs or where to find out/ why they are recalling certain VINs?
I too went in for a test drive to be stopped. My dealer told me it is an issue with the screens. They sometimes go out all the sudden. The dealers have to go through and manually update the firmware in the computer for the fix.

I hope it gets resolved fast. But I can’t help be slightly amused at this with all the talking GM did about how they don’t need Android Auto or CarPlay because their system is so great and make those options obsolete. This is the second (?) stop sale this year for Ultium EVs for infotainment issues? They’re doing great! 
I never heard of any vehicles being put on hold when the CD Player ate tapes.
I know todays “cdplayers” are tied more into the computer system, that same system that runs most of the car and its safety systems.
But that is th point. Why do the engineers tie themselves to the grossly overrated Infotainment systems.
I believe it has to do more with who would own the data and the cost to provide service. I can’t blame them for going on their own. I’m sure it will be a nice feature once the bugs get worked out of it. 
My screen on my 2024 Lyriq turned green.The vehicle settings changed on its own. Just signed lease on 7/31.
