Cadillac Lyriq EV... Reservation & Ordering Discussion

Local dealer is doing 10k dealer discount so looking at 15k in incentives minimum which could make for a hot deal.

Does the $10K dealer discount include the Ultium EV credit from GM and $1K Costco member discount? If not, that’s a fantastic deal.

I picked up my Lyriq last month and received:

$5K early order rebate
$7,500 Ultium EV credit
$1K Costco member discount
$2K dealer discount.

I think I could have negotiated a bit more on the dealer discount but I was satisfied with the deal.

If you assumed that the dealer has 12%-13% margin from MSRP, and the $7,500 Ultium EV credit and $5K early order rebate are not coming out of dealer’s margin, there still a lot of room for discounts.

Look like my dealer is offering a similar dealer discount at $2500 off + $7500 Ultium EV credit baked in. Better to wait for heavier incentives to cook.

I was somewhere in this range as well. Pretty happy with the deal and the car thus far.

I suspect the incentives as the year goes on will tilt towards lease. The lease was pretty unattractive when I signed so I opted to purchase.

Isn’t targeted offer 5k separate from MY23 :arrow_right: MY24 conversion 5k rebate from Cadillac?

Oh no the $5k private offer is the one and the same as the MY23 to MY24 conversion offer. It’s private in the sense that it’s not advertised / you have to be on the list.

If anyone with a good lease deal is unhappy with their Lyriq, please reach out to me. I’m in the market for one.

$100 pending refund already that was quick.

Looking for some opinions on the different trim levels Sport 1-3 vs Luxury 1-3. I have driven the Sport 2 but I have already caught the sales person misquoting some of the features / differences between 1-3 and I don’t want to take his word on difference between sport and lux.

At least to me, the cadillac site isn’t real clear on the differences between the trims or Sport vs Lux.

The dealer near me has several but they are in storage lots and not easily accessible to do side by side comparisons. I have gotten some initial numbers and not close to some of the signed deals so I may turn to a broker and I don’t want to waste dealers’ time getting all the vehicles out of storage just to buy from broker.

Any real world experience from owners or dealers would be appreciated regarding the 1-3 differrence and Lux vs Sport. Even the options that you have the like - panoramic roof / 19.5 kwh charge / etc.

I’m admittedly wired differently than the average car shopper, but I’d start by determining which trims have the best lease programs (combo of MF, RV, incentives), and then see if the content on those would meet my needs / wishes.

The price differences from trim to trim are often out of scale with the differences in vehicle content.

Thanks and I agree - my decision is 99% based on price - what is the cost to me over the life of the lease. However, I can’t get a clear answer from the dealer regarding which trim has the features that I need / want.

My must have is memory seat based on height difference between the different drivers but sales person said it was only on 2 & 3, not on Tech and 1. I find that hard to believe but they didn’t have a 1 or tech on the lot so I couldn’t open the door to confirm. After some further research, I think it is the passenger seat that doesn’t have memory on 1 or tech but that doesn’t concern me.

The same sales person then said the difference between 2 & 3 was napa leather but then I saw a 3 window sticker on-line that had the napa has a paid option, not part of the 3 trim level. Again, part of the incorrect information that I think I was getting from this sales person.

I may need to spend time at different dealers who have inventory on the main lot.

Random window sticker on a Lux 1 appears to include the memory seats.

I randomly looked at 2 Cadillac dealer web sites, and both include window stickers in the listings for individual vehicles.

I think at a high level the best way to think about it is:

Tech: base trim, optional adaptive cruise control

Luxury / Sport 1: a little more standard than the Tech (incl. ACC), but still pretty spartan.

Luxury / Sport 2: This is where the big jump in equipment is. This trim adds Super Cruise, ventilated seats, 360 camera (I think this might also be on the Level 1s? But not on the Techs), AKG audio system, active noise cancellation.

Luxury / Sport 3: this adds rear seat climate controls, the digital rear view mirror (camera based instead of a physical mirror), 22" wheels (some remaining 2024 models have the 20" wheels in exchange for a $1,000 credit, but this option to downgrade is gone for 2025), hands free power tailgate.

I suspect the best deals are on the Tech / Level 1s, and note the Tech trim is gone for 2025.

My tech has 360 camera, driver assistance package includes it

Thanks for the responses.

Other than some paint vs chrome, is there really any difference between sport and lux? salesperson said no, but I haven’t been able to see same trim level in sport vs lux to really confirm this.

Sport vs. Lux is purely trim differences: door handle color, grille pattern, wheels.

the equipment levels of Tech vs. 1 vs. 2 vs. 3 are what matters. Tech is gone for 2025. Sport vs. Lux is just whether you prefer one facade or the other!

Why don’t you play around with the builder on Caddys website and compare the trims and features? There’s usually a compare trims button.

I wouldn’t trust any salesman on features, I do all this research on my own.
