First rodeo into looking at Cadillac loaners. Seems like there is a fixed ‘incentive’ from GM that passes onto the customer if its a loaner. Is that correct? If so, is it milage based or a fixed amount (saw $2000 somewhere…). Specifically looking at a Lyriq. Trying to get my info in place before starting the hunt! Thanks!!
Unfortunately the majority of previously shared GM EV deals will no longer be relevant to compare due to the loss of the EV rebate.
The Cadillac shopping tool on their website is pretty helpful in terms of finding courtesy vehicles and see what rebates are available. Some dealers even provide discounted prices that are shown there but 75% do not. The best tool to help will be Ratefindr, which will populate all residuals, finance rates and rebates for you, assuming you are comfortable using the LH calculator.
Beyond that, you can cross check deals that are being offered in the Marketplace section for this month.
Question on loaners for the community: I’m in the market for a Vistiq lease, and have found several what I consider good deals (around $750/mo, 0 down, 24/15).
The question is, do loaners constantly get rotated in and out, or is there a surge often in the first model year? Trying to decide if I can hold or need to move… hold if preferred but don’t want to miss out on a window if the loaner pool will dwindle over time.
Over time there are other significant factors that drive total lease cost beyond loaner status, so yours is a market timing question, which means you could end up pining for the days when you could lease a ____ for only ____.
I used to enjoy the singular open-ended pursuit of a particular model.
Now I prefer to pick a month, make a short list of workable vehicles that are leasing well, and sign something as soon as I get a deal to land on my target price.
I’m not trying to sell you my shopping style, just highlighting the contrasting approaches, which both have pros and cons.
Right. I should clarify. Some web prices clearly state **does not apply to lease deals. Some do not. They will list a $12,000 dealer discount labeled “Discount available to everyone”. When you contact them for a lease term, suddenly the pricing is only available if you subject yourself to $9k of dealer add ons. Otherwise it’s only a $3k markdown.
