BWM leased vehicle total loss

Hello hackers,

Recently my car (2021 BMW 330i) got hit by a hailstorm in Austin, TX. Progressive and my body shop inspected the car and they have determined the car to be a total loss. My lease ends next year and the vehicle evaluation that progressive made is more than the buyout price at the lease end.

I just want to know if I should get an overage pay from either progressive and/or BMWFS. Are there any particular things I should know or be aware of when dealing with insurance/BMWFS?

TIA.

Progressive will mail a check directly to BMWFS. It’s technically their car and you have been renting it from them. You shouldn’t expect any type of overage pay from either party, but if you do consider it a bonus.
