Buyout Mercedes lease early or at the end

Since the chip shortage won’t end before I need to get another car. Should I buy out my lease now or wait till the end of the lease?

I believe I can also get a refund of remaining 5 months of the excess wear and tear package.

Residual on contract is $26182

Current buyout is $33086 with 5 months left. This is NJ.

Selling now means you will spend more on a new car

Looking to buyout and hold for about year. Not looking to keep the Merc past warranty.

I guess the question buy it out now or wait 5 months and then buy out.

If you don’t intend to sell, just hold to the end as it makes no difference.
