Buying used 2025 Honda CRV EXL AWD Deal

Hello all!

New to this forum. Hoping I can provide all relevant info! There’s a used 2025 Honda CRV in a Toyota lot. They said it only has 10 mi and one transfer because they bought it off of their Honda store.

Details:

Price: $33588
Used
10 mi

Out the door price would be approximately $37000 because of taxes. We were thinking of doing 10k down but we don’t know the APR on this yet. Wanted to see if the base price is fine or if we could negotiate it down so our OTD price is at $36,000?

Thank you all and please advise! Appreciate all the help!!

Buy a brand new one. Check Marketplace brokers such as @Jeff_BeachCitiesAuto

Is it high even if it’s an awd?

Oh thank you for the info!!

I think you’re responding to a bot.

Agree w/ @max_g that you should first see what a new one will cost you b/f buying used.

A new one would cost 39k out the door so I figured it would save me 2k?

Dealers or brokers have offered you an OTD price of $39K for a new one?

Yes. The dealership. The taxes are about 10% so it includes the taxes

I would look into what the Honda brokers in marketplace have on offer, and I would not take a dealer’s offer of $39k as gospel, either, as that’s what they would like you to pay. This dealer may say they are saving you $2k, but how much of that is being eaten up by a potentially higher interest rate for the “used” vs new car?

$39K OTD is pretty competitive, dont really see it getting drastically better than that

New car will have 3.9% financing, free two year maintenance and more colors to pick out if that sways your decision

So it seems like your deal is pretty good. Hopefully, you can find a decent rate, if you’re taking out a loan.

You can still offer $36K OTD to see if they’ll bite, but, if saving the $2K is important to you, I’d be ready to take the deal, if they don’t…

This is for the used Honda CRV 2025 AWD EXL right?

Correct, the used one.

If a highly-rated broker is saying that $39K OTD is competitive for a new one, I don’t think you’ll be able to get $36K on a new one.

The 36 month warranty period on the used one probably started already so check to see how much less warranty there is than on a new vehicle

Suspicious that the Honda dealer did not take it back and try to certify it. That would’ve been a very attractive CPO sale for them. Makes me wonder why.
