Buying car online via GM sites - 2025 Blazer LT EV AWD - 24/12 - $3920 One Pay

update 9/14

The sales manager from the second dealership called on Saturday and offered to shave $500. Damn. Now I could not pass that up, thought about it a bit, and took him up on this offer. While doing so I also inquired about GM credit card signup $500 bonues. He said no prob and later on generated a link for me.

So now the whole thing went down another $1k from Friday, down to $3,920. At this point, this was way below my original numbers target even without me doing any work. So, we decided to switch the car from plain grey to another that was red, everything else being the same. But GM charges $450 for this “premium” pain and we decided it was ok to “splurge”. Thus new car will be red and slightly more expensive at $4,300. Essentially $15 a month for not driving grew we’ve had for the last few years.

But if anyone is looking, the grey plain LT AWD can be had for less than $4k apparantly. Before you ask if this is replicable, I don’t know. It’s Sunday and they are closed, so I can’t ask SM about that.

I just want to share an interesting experience of buying a car online, rather than brag about the deal itself.

So, on their sites for each head-brand, Chevy, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac, GM provides the ability not only to find a car but also to structure a good deal.

I was playing around, searching the inventory there rather than on each specific dealership site. I know it’s not perfect for actual availability on the site, but it’s a good starting point to see ALL nationwide inventory.

While searching, I expanded the area to be nationwide, switched to “lease” and sorted from cheapest to most expensive.

It looked something like this.

Then you find the one you are interested in and go to see details about this car which would look like this and click “Edit” on the right side for the lease and play with numbers how you want.

Through a bit of trial an error constructed deals and sent them via that same portal to that specific dealership that listed the car.

This showed a few issues:

  • the one dealer from OH showing the lowest price is playing games and refusing to honor the price. I just moved on.
  • Another one was when I saw the deal I liked, got the numbers together, and sent them to the dealership. They called me and said it is being delivered as we speak.

So, thus I got the option I’m signing.

This is the screen that was sent to the dealership. At their first attempt, they got close but could not match.

So the site has an option to show all the numbers in the deal

Next they matched it on their sheet and we shook hands virually. Everything was very smooth without any aggravation on back and forth about the price. Barely spoke to any salesperson and got this just about a week ago.

Hope this helps those who are searching for a deal.

Thanks for sharing. How did you get additional dealer discount this way? Did you submit and then negotiate additional discounts?

It was already listed on the site. Didn’t have to ask for anything.only add rebates I qualify for and lease term I wanted

how much you pay for the delivery?

$0 - found a deal from a dealship about 1 hour away althought I was ready to fly for a great deal. But one dealership in Maryland refused to deal with out of state when I found a what look to be a good deal.

Really insightful! I like the way GM is setting this up to include the dealers fees and all taxes based on your zip and eligible incentives. It makes leasing a car very simple and transparent.

Yes. In reality you can actually go almost through the whole process of buying it online. I just didn’t get there but there was an option.

I followed the steps you laid out (I think) on a Hummer and Vistiq. Sorted lowest price and built in the incentives, but both payments were still pretty large. So you must need a car listed with a heavy discount I’m assuming?

I had done the same thing with the website and then contacting dealers. Many, including that same OH dealer probably, refused to honor the price. It is amazing that they can legally refuse to honor the pricing. Seems a bit like false advertising. I did finally get one also, but for a 2024 demo Blazer EV RS with 1900 miles, to get to $199 months for 24 months 12,000 miles, first month due at signing. Getting delivered tomorrow!

Great write up, thanks for taking the time to explain step by step how to guide. Its interesting to see the site also listed demo vehicles. (1st picture)

It’s nice but taxes and fees are not accurate. Also the OnePay doesn’t account for the OnePay discount from when I looked at it. Also for CTP, they tend to double dip if the dealer already has it factored in.

Nice! I was doing this same approach on the “buy GM” site for a Silverado EV but the dealer ghosted me , something I said?

Great deal and congrats! I took this exact same thing to a dealer here in MD and he gave me a BS excuse of how it was wrong and that it has to be 6500 downpayment to get to this monthly payment. I shook hand and walked out. I think this is mostly if a dealer wants to do a sale or not. Mind you this was on a 2024 blazer RS with 2k+ miles.

You are probably correct on. Below is a deal sheet I received from the dealership to match my total OnePay amount, but the numbers have been shifted around. But it was the OnePay that I wanted and it happened without having to haggle with the dealership about discount and structure of the deal. I gave them the screenshot and they worked it on their end to match the final price.

In calculator it looks fairly similar - here is the numbers in the cal

Thank you. I did talk to one dealership in MD and they went with “we don’t work with out of state” excuse

Is the lease cash allowance the same as coursesy vehicle rebate? No right? What’s the loaner rebate on a 25 Blazer EV?

Where do you check box to get $7500 EV rebate? Or is that already in the dealer discount? thanks for posting this

It’s already rolled into your monthly / one pay number.

What do they do for $199 accident avoidance?

It’s probably new version of VIN etch fee. I didn’t care about it as overall deal was where I was comfortable with and didn’t care to haggle about $200
