Buying a Tesla and tax credits

Do I understand this right that if you are single making over 150k you are SOL on federal tax credits for new EVs starting in 2023?

Are any Teslas eligible for federal tax credits in this year for single guys making over 150k? Can someone please clue me in because the numerous articles are still confusing.

There are no teslas that qualify for the federal tax credit in 2022 and it hasnt not yet been determined if any will qualify in 2023. If they do, you are no eligible as a single filer if you make more than $150k single/300k joint.

If you buy a slightly used Tesla right now, the price has fallen so much, it’s like a $5000 discount on the MSRP is built in.

The lamentations are worth it.

Even the standard range plus?

150k AGI = SOL in 2023, unless you are a Head of Household.

75k AGI = SOL in 2023 for Used Tesla’s as well.

Oddly enough during mid-late 2020 you could find some Teslæ with mid 100K’s mileage around that range. Many with free unlimited supercharging!
