What is the best Rear Bumper Guard protection for street parking in NYC?
I just got a new paint job and want to prevent anymore scratches from happening again from parking (corners)
Is it a lease? Wear and tear warranty.
If you mean a device? None and any would get stolen anyhow
I question their efficacy, but I see a lot of these around NYC. They appear to be trunk/inside hatch mounted, so I don’t think theft is much of an issue.
Bumper Bully for rear, Bumpshox or Bumptek for front plate bracket
My dad who lived in NYC longer than I’ve been alive says Bumper Bully is the best, and he’s had one on his old Dart and Accord.
@forbs
Tell that to every 3rd car with a bumper bully. On the black market, those things would be worth pennies if you could just take them. Front guards are a different story, I’ve never seen a non permanent / welded front guard, just the metal/steel bars welded (presumably) underneath by the installer.
@HersheySweet
Must be a NYC thing, never seen one in Cali.

I’ll let you figure out which ones the ugly one.
I’ve used Bumper-Bully before and they are great, only downside is they don’t cover as wide as you’d want them to (from my experience). If your license plate is on your back bumper, unlike the area above on your trunk then I recommend trying out 4Bumpers. Since you got a new paint job perhaps wrap it in clear-bra? Xpel is a great film.
