This is the deal I am looking at. What do you think? It was a courtesy car so that is why it is bigger discount. Has about 2500 miles on it. (need 18k per year)
MSRP is $32,465.00 employee price is $30,092.67 but we can sell it to you for $28,147.67 plus another $2,575 in lease cash ($6,892.54 off) . So with an 18,000 miles a year 39 month lease you would have startups of $747.97 and 38 payments of 334.66
Thanks,
Jeff
I think you can do a bit better. It looks like they are giving you the CCR ($1075) + incremental lease bonus cash ($1500). Ask them if they can make you lease a Bonus tag for another $1500 rebate.
Using the forum calculator on a 36/15k lease with your prices and rebates and assuming the MF and residual are the same as for a Chevy Trax I get $268/month including tax with a $987 drive off. Those 3k miles above 15k can be bought pre-lease for 20 cents/mile which adds $50/month to the lease for $318.
Doing a 24 month lease gives $325 == ($275 + 50) /month including tax with a $994 drive off.
If you can get them to do a bonus tag it will save you around another $70/month on the 24 mo. lease.
They are only discounting the courtesy car miles ~10 cents a mile. In my opinion it should be more. I would choose to buy new instead.
Thanks for the advice. Is the bonus tag only on selected cars?
Thanks,
Jeff
As I understand the Bonus tag (and others in the know can chime in) dealer can tag 10% of the cars with it. There may be some restrictions like the car has been on the lot greater than so many days etc.
It never hurts to ask about it !
He said that Bonus Tags are not allowed on CPA cars (not sure what CPA stands for but probably a dealer driven car. I asked about increasing the discount since it is only around 10 cents a mile discount. He said that Buick and Chevy are around 12 cents per mile (Cadillac is a lot more) and he is passing discount to me. So I guess I am out of luck. I asked about a shorter lease and here are the numbers:
With 782.03 out of pocket start-ups
24 months / 18k miles a year lease - 23 payments of 368.72
27 months / 18k miles a year lease - 26 payments of 363.16
36 months / 18k miles a year lease - 35 payments of346.06
How about a different new Encore with a Bonus Tag. Or a new Encore from a different dealer with a bonus tag ? Don’t get stuck on any on particular car.
For what it’s worth here is the deal that I got last week on an Encore Preferred (No Leather, no Nav)
To get this deal you either have to have a non-GM lease or have a current Buick or GMC (lease or own). If you were to do this deal getting to 15k miles adds about $20/month. Getting then to 18k adds another $50/month (20cents/mile) for a total of ~$199plus sales tax on $199 for 18k miles (nothing down, no drive offs i.e. sign and drive).
I had some other incentives from my GM credit card that further reduced the lease. I also did a one-pay deal that reduced the sum of all payments by about 10 percent.
So if you did a one pay on this deal I estimate that you would owe 23X$199*90% ==>~ $4120 plus sales tax on that amount. That would save you over $450 total.

That is a nice deal you scored! Now I need to try and convince the wife to get the lower trim level. Ugh.
I can’t seem to find any encores with the bonus tag. Any easy way to filter these?
Thanks!
