So this what I was offered no negotiating involved:
15k/miles a year.
MSRP$ 62,080
Invoice:$58,851
Your Price: $51,351
YOUR DISCOUNT $10,729 !!!
Residule value 54% ($33,523)
Money Factor 0.00125
total drice offs due at signing (dmv lis and first payment) $1,333.93
monthly payment 635.55 plus tax
35 remainf payments of $695.93 including tax.
Should I try to go lower? It’s their first offer so I have too right.
BTW : I’m curious about seeing what MBFS will think of my credit is there any benefit or down side to doing a credit application online where it then gets sent to the dealer?
It’s annoying when people throw out the “you can get a xxx at that price” and just leave it at that. Perhaps you could swing a base 450 at that price but it’s a stretch and will take a lot of work. They dont lease as well as the 300s since MB doesn’t support leases on them as much as the 300. Why not put the effort on more of a dime a dozen model (the 300) and thus having the dealer more inclined to work with you?
Anyway, Your quote seems high but it looks like the RV dropped since I got mine a few months ago. Check Edmunds what the base MF should be. Your discount off MSRP is really good though. Again check the MF and work from there.
Ouch. What’s the hit to the RV for that? Do you def need that many miles?
Yes, check the MF.
A 17% discount seems good, but are there any incentives being offered or that you qualify for (loyalty, fleet, etc.?). Can you afford to use MSDs? You could always ask for 20% to see what they say (and, no, I have no idea if that’s realistic for a new, highly optioned E300, but the worst they can say is “no”)…
Maybe not, but just commuting to and from work is 8000 miles a year. 15000 is about right for me.
They quoted me .00125 MF
Fletcher jones was lower but they flat out said they’re not matching that discount. Which makes sense right. Lower this, raise that
God, how on earth do these car companies stay in business when acquiring their products is the worst experience sometimes, just never know if you’re getting ripped off or not.
36/15k numbers are 0.00115 54% with $3K incentive. Your selling price before incentives is $54,351, a 12.45% discount. Your MF is market up by 0.00010.
Capped acq fee of $1,095 and doc fee of $85, with DMV of $638.
I got 15.4% discount pre-incentives on mine, but it was like squeezing blood from stone at the end. Tell them you need 15% off before incentives and base MF and see what they say. This weekend is month end so that’s when good deals usually happen.
With 15% and base MF and 10 MSDs, you’re at $572 and about $7,700 DAS ($6,500 MSDs).
You can’t order a 2019 anymore. For 2020 more will have the digital display as it is now included in the premium package (almost all have this package). Before it was a stand alone option thus not many had the feature.
Having said that, you’ll end up with less negotiating power with an order vs what’s on the lot.
I agree. I wanted the digital cluster but hard to come by, especially when going the loaner route. And considering you want the luxury look vs sport which are also not as common, you might need to expand your search radius.
My insurance was about the same for my ‘17 and ‘19 E300 compared to by ‘13 and ‘16 Cadillac ATS (both were $44,xxx) cars. I find some insurance companies are cheaper than others depending the car so i shop for providers whenever I get a new car and sometimes switch.
There’s 3 in the LA area as far as autotrader is concerned. And fletcher jones has one of them a red one, definitely a pimp mobile Same price range as the deal I was offered.
I asked for a quote on that one. Waiting to hear back.
I’ve found some blue ones(my preferred color) but they’re out there
Benzes (at least since the 1980s) never had the smoothest ride. They’ve always been on the European firmer side, but softer than, say, a BMW (until recently). The W204 had a mid-cycle facelift that, IMHO, ruined the suspension (probably to appease mainstream US drivers).
The ride quality of the W205 is generally quite good, but the RFT sort of ruin everything for me (and don’t even get me started on the door latches).
So, in short, anything outside of an S-Class hasn’t been very Mercedes Benz-like since, like, the original C-Class (W203), IMHO. From what I read on-line, it seems like BMW makes a better Benz (outside of an S-Class) than does MB. Hell, my VW Golf feels more like an MB than did the last CLA.
Not really. MB offers acoustic glass on the lower-level models (and I assume such an option wouldn’t be necessary, if the interior were quiet in the standard models).
That comes w/ the traditional radiator grille, right? All the brand whores want the gigantic 3-point star in the grille, so that sort of killed the luxury package.
In short, outside of an S-Class, you’re not getting something that resembles anything MB produced in terms of build quality and brand “values” in the 1980s.
