Bottom panel when scrolling

Whenever I used to scroll in the forum, a panel would appear on the bottom of the page, allowing me to hit “latest.”

Did that go away with a recent update? Or am I missing something?

Disappeared for me today too

I thought it was just me…miss it dearly

We removed it because it’s not an official forum plugin and it was blocking some elements after the update. The new forum design is better optimized as you can edit shortcuts inside the hamburger sidebar:

You can also access “Latest” on the front page by clicking “Categories”.

Lodging an official protest!

But TY for the explanation as well.

It also takes valuable screen real estates don’t you think?

Yes, but the widget itself is super valuable as well.

It’s more useful than whatever little space it took up

Thanks for the explanation, agreed on usefulness outweighing space, especially since it intelligently his during scrolling/viewing.

I noticed recently this had an “off by 1” problem where I’d use this picker and whatever I chose was not what I got (e.g. “Top” → Latest) - that is fixed in this update

I know the OP is talking about top-level browsing, but reminder that if you are IN a post there should be a position hover in the bottom-right that shows your position in that thread: tap that and the bottom to get to the latest post in the thread (or “Jump To” on right)

It was much more useful than the small amount of space it took up. Please bring it back.

It’s back. :upside_down_face: Will look into fixing the UI/UX incompatibility in the coming days.

Happy Holidays! Don’t spend too much time leasehacking on this lovely day.
