If you’re into chain restaurants they sell discounted gift cards (and other discounted GCs as well).
Costco Travel often has the best deals on car rentals.
The Citi Costco credit card is better than most if you don’t want to juggle several cards to maximize rewards (4% back on gas, 3% on travel, 2% at Costco).

Full disclosure: it feels a little strange shilling for Costco, because I absolutely loathe shopping in their stores.
