I am looking to lease a loaner X3 2024 (sdrive)
5k miles driven
36 months/15k miles
What would be the Residual Value and Money Factor?
For new cars it is currently 53% for 36/15k and MF is 0.0018.
Thank you

Use the LH calculator, put BMW as the make, insert the RV and MF in their respective boxes, and then under demo car mileage, put 5000, and then click $.25/mile adjustment. Boom. MF stays the same and RV adjusts by $.25/mile or $.30/mile depending on the model
Thank you for your response. Also, since dealers give a minimum 12% off MSRP on new cars, is it fair to ask around 18% for loaners?
I wouldn’t say 2024 X3’s are a “minimum” of 12% off, that’s a bit extreme, but 18% sounds reasonable on a loaner to me, if it has really high mileage shoot for over 20%.
Sorry, I agree with you. I meant maximum
Also by high mileage, do you mean above 12-15k miles ?
Above 10000 miles, I would ask for like 22% or more. Max is 15000 miles to lease cars from BMW FS
Anything over 12k I would want 20% or more, that’s just me.
do rebates fall off after 5000 miles? this was the rule before COVID, not sure if anything has changed. Most retired loaners I’m seeing have 6-8k miles now
Loaners can have up to 15k on them now.
Oh snap - and the only impact is to the residual at .25 cents per mile over 500 miles ?
I’m looking at a demo with 12,000 miles - dealer is taking off 2% from the residual AND still charging the $.25 per mile over 500 - is this normal?
The dealer doesn’t have discretion on the RV or the amount of the mileage penalty.
Those are set by the lessor.
