I received an “invitation” to the summer sales event. I’m more amazed that bmw is offering cash incentives when there is very little inventory in my neck of the woods. How does this make any sense?
There’s typically going to be some sort of loyalty incentive at the very least on most models. 2021 models should still offer other lease cash incentives as well.
Sales events are usually just to get people into the dealership. It’s unlikely you’d get a better deal than you would going on any other day. The exception is that BMW may sometimes offer a $1,000 certificate for attending.
I also got a similar email today.
Same here. Finance incentives only.
Make this summer unforgettable behind the wheel of a new BMW. Take advantage of amazing offers and receive a credit of up to $2,750 plus 0.9% APR on a new 2021 BMW X3, 3 Series, or 5 Series now through August 2nd.
Is it me or do car manufacturers always have a major sales event going on. Nothing but a gimmick. Turn on your TV and they will always tell you now is the greatest time to finance or lease this or that car. Typical sales shannanigans
Doesn’t help leasers
Keep in mind that the first rule of marketing is that you have to mark it up before you can mark it down.
In the age of data analytics / targeting, organizations have a pretty good grasp on what drives sales and at what margins.
And furniture stores are always having a going out of business sale…
BMW has sufficient onshore production capacity that there’s available build allocations; the problem with most is that even if they ramp up production it takes 3 months to build inventory and another 3-6 months to ship to the US…
