People everywhere complain about potholes. This is what we have to deal with lol
Oakmont bakery had a model of that up above the case for the holidays. Idk if itās still there. I got a Christmas tree ornament of one.
Lol yeah I saw a lot of merch.
I assure you that being a bad driver is not the only way to wear out brakes. Driving spiritedly in heavy cars will swallow brake pads and warp rotors pretty quickly.
Thank you all for sharing the knowledge!
Does anyone know if the bmw excess wear and tear protection can be bought else where after buying the lease. Dealership offered some 3rd party protection that doesnāt cover tire wear and tear that the bmw protection brand covers.
What is the maintenance schedule like during the 3-year free maintenance period?
This is the agreement that my friend had signed.
He paid $700 for the maintenance program, but has 60 days to cancel.
The first sentence in the first paragraph, it saids
āThis program is only available for purchase on a BMW vehicle after the standard BMW Maintenance Program terminates on account of the transfer of BMW vehicle from the original owner, purchaser, lesseeā¦ā
So I guess this dealer recognizes itself as the original owner of the loaner vehicle and since the standard BMW Maintenance Program terminates on vehicle transfer, loaner car will no longer have the maintenance coverage for the new lessee, unless signing this new $700 program.
Like what some of the hackrs commented above,
I also have leased the BMW loaner car, which was registered and had the license plate, but it came with standard maintenance program without any additional cost.
Is this something that dealers can decide by themselves? Or is there some sort of rule from BMW North America?
Itās all BS, the dealer tells people that so they can sell you $700 maintenance package that you donāt need.(or they pull the refresh scam) Iām still convinced that the refresh thing costs them nothing, the dealers are playing all sorts of shenanigans with this. The manufacturer doesnāt care what happens with plates, title, registration, etc, if itās allowed to be leased than it should be treated the same across the board between different dealers. This thing stinks of a scam.
Dealer folks are silent on this whole topic, probably for good reason. If anyone wants to PM me about, Iād be happy to post the truth.
Ha there it is, āThese maintenance programs are available to the exclusive benefit of the initial purchaser, owner, or lessee of a new vehicle, sales demonstrator vehicle, Aftersales Mobility Program vehicle, or BMW Group company vehicle from an authorized BMW center in the United States (including Puerto Rico).ā
I assume āAftersales Mobility Program vehicleā is a loaner, so boys and girls just print this out and bring it to the stealership and call shenanigans!
This article spells out that the āAftersales Mobility Programā is a loaner. I think you donāt even need to go for the refresh scam, Iād just cause a big stink in the service department and point towards the link spelling out the whole program
Thank you for sharing!
i just went through this with the finance person and he didnāt try to charge me even a dime for this. He just told me that the fluids are covered under the BMW maintenance program. He mad a really anemic attempt to sell me a protection package but i declined and that was it.
