Context is that 11% discount on BMWs should be pretty standard
Curious… Kelly or MAG?
And trying ALOT.
The more attempts at finding a deal one puts in, the luckier they seem to get.
also true, seems like dealers think most people will sign the first quote they give, usually they are shocked when I say I want base mf, breakdown on discounts/incentives etc. etc.
The thing though is: It isn’t. Outside of our happy little group of shrewd negotiators most people are pleased as punch to get invoice pricing.
So how much % discount do they have to give before rebates to be even?
I’d love to know your source on these percentages you’re posting.
What’s this “holdback” called?
spill the beans!
BMW “holdback” is the Added Value Program (AVP) - target payment of 5% of MSRP per vehicle retailed. It’s not a 100% guarantee like some other brands but most dealers are qualifying for it. If they’re not, they’ve got bigger problems.
This was addressed privately but it’s no secret the manufacturers have been finding ways to squeeze the dealers in the Information age.
funny guy!
11% is not common on an m550.
