Hi all… I’ve put together the below which I’m looking to propose to a dealer soon. I am very new to leasing, so please let me know if there are any problems with my calc and if this seems like a somewhat reasonable offer to propose these days. Also let me know if any of my terminology is off, lol. I’m aware the M240i doesn’t lease too well and doesn’t get hacked often. Just started talking to a dealer Saturday and will likely hear back from him tomorrow with a quote which I feel is going to be higher than what I show below.

A. The longer the email, the more it’s likely to be trashed.

This is wrong right off the bat. It’s 6.625% of the total lease cost, due upfront or capitalized

Separately a luxury surcharge of 0.4% of the selling price will be added to your DMV fees.

I don’t think 9% and base is truly realistic right now but it’s always worth a shot. Other than the tax and fee stuff Max pointed out.

But please note, even at this number, you want to pay 700+ effective per month for a M240?

Thanks for the reply, I updated my math to reflect the correct tax application Max had mentioned. I’m open to other suggestions for a sports coupe if you have any to share.

I think it’s ok. I bought an M240i in 2017, similar MSRP… I paid $569/mo after CA tax (9.5%). Different year yada yada but still.
