BMW Loaner Miles Lease Limit 5,000?

Quick question, as I only found older threads on this topic. But is the BMW loaner/demo mileage limit back down to only 5,000 miles? I remember 15,000 miles years ago with an i3, and the BMW i5 eDrive40 has 5,759, but local dealer said it is not available for lease because it is over 5,000.

@LAK1ngs knows everything about bmw fart car leases in SoCal.

I remember it being 15k miles, with a large residual drop (7%-9%) and lose the incentives after 5k miles. Some old posts mention it too:

Please tell them to submit a ticket to their corporate help desk and they can verify eligibility.

5000 applies to BMWNA corporate fleet cars. It’s 15,000 flat, .25 residual drop per mile over 500.that bulletin is so old it defers to an i8, and X7M LOL

Century West? Loaner - 15K, BMW corp - 5K.

Yep, that’s the one. I imagine this i5 was BMW Corp? I’ll give them a call and ask that they verify.

Look at Carfax: if originally punched in Woodcliff Lake, NJ (BMW HQ) or Oxnard, CA (local engineering facility) it’s a BMW corp brass hat. With loaners, CarFax normally shows that the dealer took possession of the car and shows registration in the city where that dealer is located.

I verify this is the correct answer, though Oxnard barely gets anything. Century west gets a lot of Woodcliff cars, they like to snap them up. So does pacific.

They had a B8 they refused to lease to me a while back because I was OOS and I’m still mad abt it.

Hey, if you ever get totally bored out of your mind and find Sewell not challenging enough, try these guys. They are fun, fun, fun! Still sitting on a 23 i7 x60 that I tried to hack going into X-mas and NY last year while it still had support in December. And I know a couple of managers there who have worked at that store forever.

Sewell is uncrackable in my experience

You are spilling way too many beans for free…

No, no, no THEY AGREED to my price. THEY WOULDN’T SELL THE THING TO ME BECAUSE I’M OOS AND SAID WIRE ONLY.

I see you already tried them, lol. Curiously enough one my contacts was bragging about driving a B8 while I was trying to hack that i7… Hmmmm… And met the other one when he was trying to low key flip his own 5er (asked not to talk about it inside the store).

Oxnard cars are few, Camarillo gets some but their new GM Sammy is no pushover either. And they rub $3K+ worth of snake oil in all of their cars.

Damn ! Someone rename this thread to The BMW Dealer Diaries West Coast ! :joy:

I am feeling generous… and pissed as my transfer is in a limbo due to dealer/DMV issues.

This store may be the worst in LA

And then there is Santa Monica. At least they blow you off really fast - what’s a “negotiation” you are speaking of? We love our brand new 2023 cars and intend to keep them here.

I hear they’re still using Windows 95.
