BMW - Leasing - Will they only check Credit Scores?

I’m just wondering if they’ll ask for paystubs or any of my jobs information. I’ve seen that everything only mentions credit score for leasing? Thank you

I also saw they can ask for either paystubs or bank account information?

They generally won’t ask for pay stubs or have additional requirements if you have strong credit.

I don’t know, over the years at BMW I’ve had my engine light checked, temperature checked and have even been checked out by some of their receptionists. So YMMV.

I check out some of their receptionists

Proof of employment may be required if using an employer-based incentive such as Corporate Fleet.

It depends on your credit history and your credit score. If you have a strong score but no real auto history, they might require proof of income.

I just filled out a credit app on my new BMW FS lease this week.
They asked for usual (SSN, Address), Employer name, address and phone number. Yearly salary. Monthly mortgage payment (if you have one.)

A high credit score doesn’t mean much if you have a short credit history with no installment or mortgage account. They usually don’t ask for pay stubs but they might ask you to put down a large down payment and increase your mf. Really depends on how expensive the car you are getting.

Also proof of insurance and drivers license.

Credit score IMO is more a disqualifier than a qualifier, meaning when the credit app is run, it first checks to see if the score is above the threshold, and if so (based on who is leasing AND what they are leasing) it may dig deeper into your bureau, it may be provisionally approved with stips (:white_check_mark: pending / POI required), it be auto declined, or it may get kicker.

@norcalbmwguy what’s the concern? Documentation? DTI?
