Just wanted to provide an update on the BMW assumption process in Q4 Post-Covid peak.
10/20- Posted on Swappa and had 100+ texts, calls and email.
Stage 1
10/22-Submitted application
10/22- Received letter of approval
Stage 2
10/23- Received required Stage 2 Documents
10/27- Confirmation of receipt of documents by BMW
11/10- Stage 2 Completed
12/2- Confirmed that transfer is completed
12/4- New owner receives documents to register
I explained to the new owner that I’m going on vacation 12/6 to 12/14 so he should take the car soon but he seems to want to settle for 12/14. Mind you, his first payment is due on 12/8 & I’m sure he’s already paying insurance.
IMO it moved slow but none the less happy it’s done.
