Has anyone had any luck negotiating discounts on an iX3 custom order? There are no incentives yet since it hasn’t reached dealers, so I’m curious what dealers are willing to do, if anything when you order.
Back in 2017, when the all new 5 series was launching, I was able to negotiate a discount that was good enough, don’t remember what it was but this go around I feel a bit blind and don’t want to have to threaten to cancel later if no incentives come out given how bad the MF currently is.
That being said,
Invoice is a very fair offer at this time and there is unlikely to be any incentives or subvented rates once these actually start getting delivered until production ramps up to meet actual demand.
As an aside if considering SUV and gas…take a 26 X3 M50 out for a test drive in sport mode (honestly even stellar in comfort mode)…we just got one and it is a fantastic super fun car, BMW really nailed handling and performance! It will cost 2-3 hundred a month less than iX3 too.
My issue is I’ve gone electric with the iX, invested in the home charger, and got used to never looking at gas prices, saving about $150/mo on electric vs gas. Just don’t feel ready to go back to gas. Considering other brands too given the lack of BMW electric SUVs in the US at the moment. May have to leave the brand and return in 24 or 36 months once iX3 and iX5 are available in the market a bit longer. Just unlucky timing currently I guess
Yeah if you don’t appreciate the sounds of a gas car it will be lost on you. The M50 exhaust sounds great without going over the top. The startup is music!
That’s true, but the Neue Klasse platform is a whole new deal which will bring a whole new level of efficiency. The new gen BMW EVs will be game changers… if they don’t want to go back to gas after driving the iX they definitely won’t after driving the new iX3!
I get it. I’m just saying that right now an M50 is about 300 a month less than what the iX3 will be. That pays for a lot of gas! And in my opinion a lot more fun than a silent appliance. Haha
Worldwide production, and while they are bringing the line to the Mexico factory later on it isn’t 100% that those will be for the US market.
I don’t expect supply to eclipse demand for a while so if you wanna play, get ready to pay. And I say that as a reservation holder with a production number.
My business will not make a dent in a dent, and although it is a very intriguing ride, as a first model year I will likely wait for all the obvious reasons.
