I had an x50 with standard suspension (air was on constraint at the time) and it was good enough but I can see how it can be seen as harsh.
The message seats in the iX are a joke though. Just a block pushing in and out of the lumbar area lol.

Theyâre not quite as sophisticated as the ones in the 7er unfortunately (but neither is the whole seat). Really love those for long drives.
Looking at CPO iX and the MB EQE 350. Surprisingly not finding a lot of reliable comparisonsâŚI guess the clickbait era killed them off.
Any first hand thoughts? Both seem like pretty solid vehicles in their own ways, and they better have it where it counts since neither is pretty on the outside.
EQS SUV would probably be a better comparison to iX in terms of CPO pricing. Iâve leased both iX and EQS SUVs, had EQE SUV as loaner only. Really enjoyed both iX and EQS SUV. iX is way sportier feeling than either EQE or EQS regardless of specific trim, with only possible exception of AMG EQE SUV. EQS is way more plush inside, better materials imho, more standard features, has 3rd row option. In terms of EV stuff, longer range for EQS and slightly better charging. Less range and worse charging for EQE vs iX.
Thanks. No use for the 3rd row and the overall length of the EQS makes it awful tight for my garage. Itâs doable, but I do not want to rework where we have all our garden equipment and gear. The EQS sedan will not fit at all, the SUV will, with some reconfiguring, so thatâs where we are landing on the EQE or iX.
iX vs EQE 350, Iâd go for iX every time.
If youâve sat in both it should be clear that the EQE isnât even in the same league as the iX in terms of interior quality and appointments. I think the iX and EQS are in one segment, the Q8 and Lyriq are a big drop below that, and the EQE and Q4 are closer to Hyundai or VW.
Have you considered actually driving an iX, especially the ones without air suspension? Hope you are friends with a good dentist and a good nephrologist as your teeth and kidneys will need those. And blindly comparing the whole EQE line to ID4, I5 or even Q4 is really absurd as theyâre not even in the same class. Letâs see, do I choose 125K AMG EQE or a base model ID4? Yes, EQE 350+ isnât the most impressive technologically, 350 is a bit better, 500 is a big step up, AMG is whole different animal.
