They were not an authorized bmw body shop but they did have an account with the dealership to buy all the parts.
Almost all shops have ‘an account’ to buy parts. Unless they didn’t pay and got blacklisted.
There is no “should have been”… it was either declared a total loss by the insurance company or it wasn’t. And from the rest of your story, it wasn’t. So how did the title change to a rebuilt salvage title?
Does anybody know if there’s a third party wear and tear coverage? I can’t seem to find one anywhere, it seems to be pretty dealer exclusive.
I have never seen it sold outside of the Dealer, GAP yes, but not W&T.
