Whoa, even the solution replacing a/c compressor every 4 years is crazy. I have 2002 e46 which I did lots of pre-maintenance item especially the cooling system, even then, it still run with its original a/c compressor.
Man wtf, Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth stopped working in my i4.
Dealbreaker. Did BMW push some dumb update???
I already tried to re-pair Bluetooth and CarPlay.
Looks like a common issue, does the i4 have the volume knob that can be held to turn off the screen? Directions below are for IX
while engine on, hold down the volume button until the screen goes black. Then keep holding it. And keep holding it. My phone started trying to connect with the bmw, so I let go of the volume button at that point.

This happens from time to time when iDrive get into a weird state. Maybe once every 2-3 I have to do a system reboot by holding down the volume wheel to get it refresh itself. iDrive 8 is like Windows 95, you gotta reboot every once in awhile to clear defrag the gunk! 
It worked! reset the idrive by holding the power button until the screen went blank.

I’m very excited for the new Volvo designers. They just did something right with the SPA cars design language that still look spectacular today after 10 years, and I hope we get something similar to the F/early G Chassis cars that are arguably timeless

Even people on Bimmerpost are starting to ask what’s been going on; I’m glad I’m not alone in the camp thinking that the glass roof that doesn’t even tilt open on the 2025 X3 is the dumbest thing ever. I’m so glad I ordered one of the very last 2024 X3s.
