I saw this corporate fleet for 2025/2026 ix is $2K.
for loaner when i got quote, some dealer quote $2k,
some others have only $1k, they mentioned $1k was only showing on their system.
which one is correct?

I believe one of our brokers said that dealers now have to contribute $1000 towards the corporate rebate, which is a newer policy.
I’ll let one of them confirm, though.
This whole new “dealer contribution required rebate” thing has been the bane of my existence for the last 2 months since they introduced it.
Basically, BMW is only actually giving $1k, and in order to get it, the dealer has to contribute another $1k, so the rebate will show as $2k on the paperwork, but only half of that is actually coming from BMW, the other half is essentially dealer discount just accounted for in a different area.
At that point, why not just reduce the incentive amount by $1000?
I always show what BMW is actually paying, but then people start complaining, “well the BMW website says it’s XX amount” and then I have to get into this technical explanation of how the rebate works and that no dealer will do 10% off + 1k on top, but on the paperwork it will show as 10% off minus 1,000, but then 2k in rebates instead of 1k, etc, etc.
As you could imagine, it’s a nightmare.
Odd. Confusing why BMW would want this, and totally makes sense for them to reduce the incentive to $1k on their end ….
But then, people ask “why aren’t you doing the same discount as XXXX?” Because I’m listing the full rebate, including the dealership contribution part, as it would show on the contract…

They don’t care because most dealers aren’t doing deep deals to the point they can’t afford it, many will still charge MSRP and then markup the rate to make back the 1%, I’ve heard one customer say the dealer just wouldn’t honor the loyalty at all because they didn’t want to contribute 1k
Same deal with the OL codes from the UDE events. Called a $1k discount but in reality it’s $500 as a rebate from BMW and the other $500 is supposed to be dealer contribution.
Thanks for all the info here, now I get clear understanding.
Oh, that sounds so bizarre. Is the dealer participation/contribution “voluntary?”
Matched ($1,000 in this instance) or better dealer contribution or discount is all it takes to meet the requirement.
You can have the bare minimum contribution and say you got the full rebate or you can have the offered discount and the FS funded amount.
It’s that simple.
It’s also tax inefficient. That same contribution isn’t taxable when it’s a discount but suddenly becomes taxable in most states when it’s a line item rebate.
Does that mean so long as the dealer is kicking in a $1,000 discount, BMW will give the full $2,000 rebate? Or it’s that once the dealer adds $1,000 discount, BMW adds $1,000, it now becomes the $2,000, taxable, loyalty rebate and the dealer discount is $0?
Assuming the latter, please tell me this is iX only.
Sadly, makes no difference in tax hungry CA.
Do dealers have to contribute $1000 for loyalty as well or is Corporate the only rebate that requires dealer contribution?
Same for both.
And then they text you that their back hurts, don’t they? ![]()
Is that when @IAC_Scott tells them that he’s all out of both Preparation H and BioFreeze? Careful not to mix up those two.
