Sorry if this has been asked but I couldn’t find it. My kid is a recent college grad – can she and I be co-lessees so I get the $1000 college grad money without having the put the lease/car/liability solely in her name.
AFAIK you should be able to co-sign and get the rebate
Keep in mind, if she’s a cosigner and on the lease, that’s going to POTENTIALLY cause her grief if/when she wants to lease/purchase a car herself, provided your contract is still open.
Thanks – any insight on whether she’d have to be present at dealership to close the deal – its out of town and I’d much prefer pre-signing or power of attorney. Obviously dealers can have different practices but wondering if BMWFS has a policy or whether anybody has any experience to draw from on this
Dealerships can send documents to her to sign.
This (signing papers in person versus virtually or in other states, etc.) is dealer specific. Good luck!
If the college grad already has a lease under their name, would they not be able to co-sign this new lease?
College grad only can use it once… so can’t get the rebate again.
Sorry should have clarified - she is currently leasing an Infiniti.
Since she’s not in BMW data base yet. She can use it once.
