BMW buyout lease early

I want to lease a 2026 IX to use the lease rebates plus the dealer discount but my end goal is to buy out the lease by year end. I can’t find a clear answer on the internet, and don’t have access to a BMW sample lease. Is the math to buy it out lease payment minus rent charges/interest x months remaining on lease plus residual (and TTL)? Or does BMW make you pay all the rent charges/interest regardless?

many thanks helpful hackers!

Unearned interested is removed from the payoff.

You essentially pay residual plus remaining principal only

Why do you want to buy out an electric vehicle? These are cars to lease, chuck, and repeat.

buyout early for tax reasons

thanks! That’s the way it works on most other leases, but I couldn’t get a straight answer from BMW.

This is not the car to depreciate for business purposes, but to each his own.

Don’t spend dollars to save pennies

It’s a bit more complicated than that… you may find these helpful…

I would seriously consider a single pay lease as it is the cheaper of the two especially for early buyouts.

Look at the bright side. They’ll have nothing to recapture!
