BMW 3 Series: lease prices coming down at end of model year?

I’ve been in the market for a 3 Series in Southern California and the prices I’ve been able to negotiate are quite high. They start around $330/month with drive-offs factored in. I’ve even put a car broker on the case, and he’s reported the same to me. With these prices, I’m not inclined to go with the 3 Series.

Is it likely that prices will come down meaningfully in the months ahead as 2018 models roll out? (If so, when might those price reductions begin?) I’d be happy to go with a loaner or demo if the deal is good.

I’d like to be under (or at the very least, right around) $300/month, taxes and drive-offs included. Is this a fantasy?

Basically, should I wait for a deal or abandon hope on the 3 Series?

You should definitely wait and hope that lexus, infiniti, and acura step up their game because the balls on bmw and mercedes are getting way too big.

It’s basically end of model year and there’s 0 incentives out there and people are still falling head over heels for a bmw or merc.
