I’ve done some searches but not finding discussions on the best way to order a Honda? (Odyssey specifically) - saw a few broker posts for in stock but not a lot out there. Or anyone know of a trustworthy Honda dealer in OH?
Does Honda even take orders? or is it a Faux Dealer Order (Aka Get an Allocation and hope it matches a customer in line)
most autonation hondas will do orders but from what i’ve seen, the regular honda dealers don’t.
Why would you order a Honda? Hondas are cookie cutter cars with no packages…
Maybe they want a color most dealers don’t have like red?
Unless something changed recently, Honda’s allocation system doesn’t accept orders, dealers get what they get (IIRC it’s turn-and-earn). Dealers who take orders for their customers are just putting them in queue for whatever is inbound.
It’s been discussed here in the past if one were to search.
I just assumed I could get a better deal through broker, etc but def don’t have to order - I just hate dealing with local dealers
try Penske Honda shoot a message to GSM
at least they were not selling over MSRP during past years
because its just about physically impossible to find an on-the-ground 2023 at MSRP. not to mention that supply is still very limited because the hot models land on the trucks and are out the door the same day at many dealerships.

I financed 2023 civic at this dealership for MSRP.
Found a local dealer willing to sell at msrp, $250 dealer fee and no other add ons other than title/registration. Can’t special order but they seem to get a decent amount of allocations and our should arrive in 3 weeks.
Thanks, what trim Civic did you get? My kid is interested in a Civic. I might hit them up.
where are you located that the dealer fee is only $250??? or you mean they’re charging you $250 to “order” one of their allocations?
Venmo me $50 and I will get your order in, no problem!
$250 document/dealer fee is the cap in Ohio - no fee for the actual ordering
damn you guys are lucky. honda is the worst here for their dealer fees.
