Best PHEV used SUVs - looking under $25k so I can get the tax credit

I’ve been researching the PHEV SUVs and was seriously considering the BMWx5 40e. But after reading some reviews, I’m not sure I want to go for a 6-year-old BMW as the repair costs might be too much.

I’m now looking at a

  • 2020 Volvo XC90
  • Ford Escape PHEV
  • Mitsubishi Outlanders
  • 2020 Audi q5

I had been avoiding the Outlander because the older ones had terrible reviews. But it seems silly to not look at a new year PHEV.

I’d love to hear from anyone else who has a used PHEV - have you had issues.

get a Rav 4 Prime though you need to find an old 2021 to come to 25k

None of the above.

It’s Toyota, Lexus, daylight and then Hyundai and Kia. I’d throw Honda in there but IDK if they even made PHEV then.

They did, the good old Honda Clarity Plug in.
Now, finding a 1 owner 4 year old car is the real question.

Only Toyota for a plugin hybrid, do not touch german plugins.

Not wise to consider Q5 or XC90 if you want repair costs to be low.
