Best Hack Ever?

People in states that don’t tax the entire car’s value on a lease (CA for example) literally made money on Cruze leases…and that was before they even considered flipping the lease!

I forgot what year it was but I’ll always regret not jumping on the 500-700 ish Cayman.

it was 2018 when they were giving them away. same, had a little bit of that regret, but the i8 in 2019 more than made up for it. did regret the $400/month ftype v6 in 2017, though, and the $700 last-gen M3s.

The real challenge is to find hacks like these in today’s environment… other than the Jeep and Frontier.

It was just lucky to stop by dealership near year end… Walked in without email inquiry ahead, could not believe when I first saw the numbers, and found some excuse to walk away… Returned next day and signed another higher MSRP one. 51k X3, $147 per month with $680 DAS… Missing those days…

Mine is a bit unfair as it was an employee deal, but wanted to share none the less as it was still a unicorn for employees.

$61k MSRP S5 Sportback
12/7.5k
$1856.82 one pay, including Audicare

Best non-employee hack would have to be the 4xe due to equity

Made me think to work for Audi someday… lol…

They better be making you do overtime and mop the floor daily!

Haha. If only this was the norm and not the exception!

that’s insane

Why not? Carmax is appraising the trade at 43 to 45k easily.

After reading this I’m jelly. I usually only lease cars once every 2-3 years so I try to follow the 1% rule. If I get that I was happy. After reading this I need to up my game to be like these gurus! I’m going to start doing push-ups and get ready for 2023 hacks!

I hope we’ll be back in hack city by 2023 :crossed_fingers:

Well I decided to log in after all these years… lol. Remember my Mini Leases? lol. I had one mini that was a 12 month lease for $38 1-pay lease. My i8’s… but I never shared those cause you guys would freak the F out. 750xi for $88 a month and sold it for a 4k profit in august when my lease was due. Got my mom an e-class for $2000 1-pay for 2 years. (did that twice actually) Now I need to replace my Panamera and im out ideas. That lease is $375 a month. But im in the business and hook myself up. But yea I don’t have crap right now. Very annoying times!

2018 Volvo S90 T6 Momentum. MSRP $61,xxx. 30/10k lease for $322. Last day of 2017 deal. I flipped it to CarMax within a month for $3500 profit - long before that was ever a thing (especially on Volvos).

2021 QX50 Luxe. MSRP $43,xxx. 39/12 lease for $324. In May of last year right before supply got real squirrely. If I had leased it a week sooner, I could have flipped it for $8k profit, but leased it a couple of days after Infiniti shut down 3rd party buyouts.

A couple of Toyota truck deals which would be amazing today but we’re only just good back then.
