Now that we bought a highlander I am contemplating leasing something fun for me. My 1 requirement is a manual trans. I know Camaro LT1 might be still around $400/month, and a 4XE can be considered a “fun” car and is still a good deal, but its not a manual as far as I know. I wish more of the hot hatches leased better. I may just save up and buy a Civic Si. Anyone have ideas?
What about a non 4xe wrangler with stick shift? Reasonable deals on those as well. Just may not have all the creature features as the 4xe.
I don’t really want one, I have a lifted avalanche I use for hauling and towing so really looking for something that is a car
I have a Willy’s sport 6 speed !
So fun to drive
The rv is 74 I think
I bought it tho not leased it
Probably better off buying. 4cyl Mustang stick for $28k msrp would be just under $500 for 72mon, if sold at msrp.
Granger ford does 3% below invoice I believe so less than that
I hate mustangs…but that is tempting. MSRP on the Civic Si is right around $28K but I know it’s probably impossible to find one that’s not marked up
Toyota GR86. Fun little car for under $30k
I asked the Toyota dealer about them when we were picking up the highlander, haven’t had any yet this year
That’s what we did, but we live FL, ordered a loaded out Rubi ice with manual transmission. $61k will be under $500 a month and smiles for miles. A base sport with manual and 1 pay should be super cheap.
You should try a Veloster N or Elantra N in manual as they are very fun vehicles. But you are better off buying than leasing these. I am getting rid of my G70 for an Elantra N because i miss having a fun car.
You’ll have to cast a wider net … same for Civic Si, GTI, etc.
But TBH I’d rather have a 6-cylinder engine and/or RWD layout. Look for a 2020 Genesis G70… or pick up an E92 328i 6-speed coupe while unmolested ones are still available and cheap.
Veloster N was on my list, but I was super underwhelmed with the Palisade we drove…
I could care less about the drivetrain layout. I have a RX7 drift car as my rear wheel drive high performance car. This is more about having fun on the everyday commute of dropping my daughter at school and driving to work
Have you considered driving a trailblazer to see if the camaro lt1 is a good option?
I don’t see how that could be less relevant
In terms of availability and pricing, a Kia Forte GT is likely to be a much easier search than a Civic Si.
Subaru WRX
You know many many cars are $400 when you put about $4k down like the $400 Camaro you are saying exists
What’s a real budget…and Civic SI? pfft, CTR Man!
I was just unimpressed with the fit and finish of the interior, I know I should still test drive a veloster though
Yea I know the cheap Camaro has come and gone. If I am putting money down I am buying it. Ideally I would get a CTR but you can do bolt ons and tune to the SI motor and make over 250hp and I would be happy with that.
