Best 3-row lease deal?

Spouse currently has a Wrangler 4xe which matures in March this year, and due to the RV, it’s just going to be given back to CCAP.

I’m in the process of shopping for a new SUV for her and we are primarily looking at something with a 3rd row just because we have another little one on the way and want the extra space in the back as well. I haven’t done much research, but I’ve looked into the 25 Traverse ($750 S&D 39/10k) and a 24 Grand Cherokee L ($665 S&D 39/10k). Both numbers are a bit eye opening for us since we currently pay $395 for the Wrangler which was MSRP $77k (Covid times…) but I know there’s definitely better deals out there, especially if I go with another broker.

Are there any other 3rd rows that I should be looking at? I know a lot of brands have the option but I’m looking for recommendations due to reliability, safety and overall hackability.

Thanks as always to you all.

Try the post below for ideas but Mazda CX90 might be a good choice. The post below mentioned Hyundai and Kia vehicles but I’m not as familiar with them. If you don’t mind a higher payment, Volvo XC90 is safe but payments this month are much higher compared to last 2 months. You could see how February and March shape up.

On the EV front, someone mentioned the Kia EV9 in the same topic.

Also, CX70 has the same size but without the 3rd row. For 4 people, OP needs more trunk space if I understand correctly.
Chcek Volvo XC60. It is only a couple inches smaller than XC90 but still offers a lot of trunk space and is less expensive to lease.

Good luck.

The Kia EV9 could probably be had in the 400’s

Those things look legit

If the OP is ready for EV.

You can fit 4 people in a Taycan, it’s not “4 people” so much as “2 child seats, at least one rear facing, and an infant”. Kids can’t sit in the front so the 2nd row will need to accommodate at least 2 child seats, and then do you want an adult to ride with the infant? If so then that’s an adult and 2 child seats in the 2nd row.

I can’t see an adult on the 3rd row on longer trips anyhow.

This segment is really poor in terms of hackability. There’s almost nothing that combines high discount, big rebates, high RV and low MF.

Exceptions include a few niche use-cases such as Mazda CX90 PHEV with a returning Mazda lease. Possibly Santa Fe PHEV, check the Marketplace

Traverse and GCL are way overpriced. Those deals are straight trash. You’d be much better off financing a $38k Pilot or Telluride and accumulating equity rather than taking a trash lease.

I think you might be better off with a large sedan, where you can fit 3 people abreast in the back seat more comfortably. As long as the stroller still fits in the trunk. We were definitely looking into that.

Kia Sorrento Plug in and Mazda CX90 PHEV.
Both can benefit from the EV lease pass thru rebate. And has 3 rows.

The Chrysler pacifica sorta sucks for leasing right now so it’s out.

HOWEVER, after Jan 29?th, it’s a guessing game if that rebate will still exist.
