That’s their healthcare, he asked about dealerships ![]()

Don’t want to hijack the thread but in short, Canadian market is much more on financing then leasing. So the majority of the market finances cars and the smaller group that leases are forced to do mainly 48 month leases at insane money factors. Which is why Canadian’s keep their cars much much longer than us.
A $300 C class or GLC at that time was a crime lol.
Thanks for the info. Makes sense that would require a very different leadership perspective.
Also, I think a discussion on Canadian dealership practices would be an improvement for this threat at present.
Very little data available though. Years ago I tried to help a family member get an RDX A spec lease. I gave up lol.
Don’t forget dealership ownership and transfers for most mainline brands requires approval - and there’s fragmentation in market regulation; I.E. you might be talking to different subsidiaries or at the least different teams on getting those hardspots / licenses / dealership agreements.
I heard he’ll CPO lease that for $699
the bow tie guy is the best thing to happen to LH in a long time. He’s got a better online presence than this entire site put together.
Kind of disappointed thevolvoguy didn’t start a reel documenting how depressing it is to hand deliver a Volvo to Philly and then paying out of pocket for an Uber home. Then getting a 1/10 on the survey.
Who knows maybe the new gm toyed with him - whithered and crumpled away into the ether
I never understood what he meant by these two posts. He didn’t seem to be gunning for a promo at Empire Volvo, it seemed they were promising him something else that his GM lady didn’t deliver upon.
Rule number one or corporate, if someone who isn’t your parent tells you they’re going to do something “if”… that shit isn’t happening.
All jokes aside, what happened to him?
I think he’s promoted to another dealer. I hope he’s okay wherever he is
He’s listed as the pre owned sales manager at Empire so I’m guessing he had enough of bottom feeder lease deals on new cars.
Pre-owned SM can still lease new cars lol
Sure but I’m guessing that it allows for more selectivity.
I got 22k off 188k msrp and then there is 7.5k rebate. Payments are still north of 2k. Need 1.5k with 0das to make it worth agreeing into electric version of g63.
Nah $1k is the sweet spot - problem is inventory level is pretty low -
Resale value is gonna be absolutely shite on these lol
best I can offer is $500 a month and $0 DAS
I am curious to hear from the brokers and dealers why these are not selling well. I have my theories but want to know first hand info .
