I wonder if anyone can recommend a good insurance broker in SoCal.
My auto insurance is expiring next week. Unsurprisingly, Progressive’s renew rate ($200/mo) is higher than my current rate ($150/mo) even though I have no accident or violation for the past year.
However, when I did a new quote from progressive.com. My rate came down to $169/mo with exactly the same coverage. This has been my experience for the last 6 years buying policy from progressive.com. It costs more to renew than buying a new policy which makes me scratch my head. I have also checked other companies like GEICO, StateFarm, LibertyMutual, all quoting me much higher rates. So I guess I should give it a shot with an agent. I’d much appreciate your inputs!
Note: I have a 2016 Mini Cooper (MSRP~$27k) and a 2017 BWM i3 (MSRP ~$53k) and I have rental insurance with Progressive so I get multi-policy discount.
