Nearest dealer is 5 miles.
I did chase a deal, ur right, and I don’t regret that.
I feel bad for the guy as much as I do myself.

You have your solution: let your wife (who I’m sure is lovely and right every time except this one) call and tell them your new etron was delivered, is dead, and driver is bringing it NOW to drop at service, and needs to be sure someone will be waiting since they can’t get it off the covered carrier.
Tip the guy, thank him, everyone wins.
It is pretty frequent problem with Taycans and e-Tron GT’s, so don’t be very frustrated with it. It is not the end of the world. What sucks that it died inside enclosed trailer, which make it it more difficult to deal with it.
Sorry to hear that happened, definitely not ideal! I tried browsing through the owner’s manual to help briefly. 4J3012721BD
Cant you call Audi roadside assistance? Just have them send someone to jump it/tow it or get it out of the truck.
Sorry that you’re dealing with this.
I think the only solution from here is to have your shipper drive it to the Audi dealership.
Not that this will help you now, but I’m shipping the same car in a couple weeks. If anyone is getting one shipped you should ask the dealer to 1) pop the frunk and 2) go to settings → services → turn off interior monitoring prior to shipping so that nothing inadvertently turns on and drains the 12V during shipping.
Did you end up getting this resolved? If so, what did you need to do?
If someone can squeeze through the drivers side door, which I assume the truck driver can since he parked the car in the trailer, getting to that fuse box seems like your best bet.
Wheel dolly seems like a good idea also but not sure how you’d be able toll that off the truck
If you need to access under carriage, might be able to get there by jacking up one side of the car with two floor jacks. Sounds dangerous in truck though
Following closely as my RS is being shipped 1500 miles in a couple weeks.
How did you get the car in to neutral?
Didn’t. Couldn’t access the frunk. While the above may work on the Taycan as the frunk open button is on the key fob, did not work on etron. Was able to open trunk with key fob, but no such luck with the button on driver side door to open frunk and get to the 12v battery or to get it into neutral. They very slowly and careful pulled it out with the wheels locked. Lubricated the rails/tracks and pulled it on on tire skates.
And @jeisensc I did pay the guy who shipped it and suffered with me for the past 24 hrs his fee and $200 tip.
oof. So sorry to hear about this.
Hopefully in a couple days it’ll feel like an afterthought when you’re plowing around in that beast
I’m gonna drive the sh*t out of it when I finally can.
You will be totally happy with it… my GT is more than capable but I can only imagine how fast the RS must be.
Yikes. Keep us posted.
Update 4/29
This beautiful machine was kept away from
Me for a week after initial delivery.
Towing company kept it in their garage for 4 days as they were trying to get paid by Audi Roadside and their bill exceeded $4000. I was reassured by both Audi Roadside 3rd party that it would be covered without question and by the towing company they’d deliver it the next day before I went ahead and allowed them to winch it out. Lot of back and forth between them and I kind of lost interest and gave up.
The local dealer Audi service advisor is one bad motherf’ing lady and she took it upon herself to 1) get the vehicle to her shop ASAP 2) get on the phone with her Audi rep and make sure I was taken care of and get my car to be in the condition it was supposed to be in.
Once it got to the service center, the technician spent 2 hrs just to get access to the 12v battery to charge it. They identified some minor damages which will be fixed as a resulting of the winching/extraction and I’ll take it back when parts have arrived. She also got approval for a full detail of my car cuz she felt it wasn’t clean enough for new car and even put a bow on it to give me a new new car feel given my experience!
I have driven the car for 100 miles now since I got it yesterday and it is a f^%#ing absolute blast and it’s insanely fast. My kids love it and my wife likes it too!
Sounds like a really rock solid dealer.
Meanwhile on Long Island, some dealers want nothing to do with you if you didn’t buy the car from them, even though they really have to service your car…
I had no relationship with them expect we’d been toying with buying a Mercedes from them for a little while, and had our other Mercedes serviced by them before.
My main connection comes from my partner/co-worker who’s had his 911s and macans seviced by them for the past 15 years.
She said she made it her personal mission to make everything right and she’s been awesome. Sending over some breakfast Monday morning for the crew.
