As some of the brokers on here have said they are not $150k vehicles people are getting some kind of deal on. they are poorly designed and have major tech glitches that are dangerous and safety issues. My experience was not charging both at home and on EA as well as it just bricking driving through an intersection or on a highway.
There are many issues with these vehicles the manufacturer is not addressing that go beyond those. I had a rep tell me the same along with my experiences.
Audi EV seems to be plague with issues. The 2019 Audi e-tron is known for its coolant leaking issues which damage the motor. The 2019 etron used market is around $30k which make it attractive but I’m not gambling on $7k+ repair out of warranty. Such a shame since I won’t mind its limited range.
There’s a reason Audi is offering massive incentives on these. I get it that some folks would snag up a deal to drive a “$150k” car for less than $800/month, but I’m good.
I have two months remaining on my '21 A6 lease, and I cannot wait to get into something else. I’ve had quite a few issues with the car in the past year, but luckily repairs were all covered under warranty. This is my second Audi. My '18 A4 had no issues during my 3 year lease.
If Mark Cuban didn’t de-rail this thread, then there is no way you could derail this thread. IMO, the only way this thread can stay on track is if someone actually tries and successfully hacks a R8.
It is quite sad that even with a leased, fully warrantied, Audi that the experience was poor enough to not retain a customer. I remember drooling over the S5’s around 2014/2015 after the refresh. I never found the money to make sense and I haven’t really looked at Audi much since.
