AUDI Q3 First Time Lease

,

HI all, totally new here but really grateful for all the info.

About to enter my first lease ever, and I would love to get a decent deal even though I’m fairly set on the Audi Q3. I live in Manhattan so the Q5 is too big (garages charge almost double between the two etc).

MSRP is $43,795 for the Q3 Premium Plus (upgraded finish package), and the dealer yesterday gave a very general ballpark of $700 monthly payment on a 36 month lease with 7500 miles/year. Obviously this NOT a deal based on what I’m seeing in here.

I don’t have a trade in. Looks like there is a lot of inventory between the multiple Audi dealerships within a 30 mile radius.

Does anyone have tips on how to get closer to that 1% coefficient? I know to put very little down. Or I am open to any and all tips you might have whether specific to audi or leases in general.

Thank you very much!!

Yep, spend a ton of time on this site (wiki esp) learning how to put a lease deal together using the calc and searching for pertinent info on other deals on the Q3.

That doesn’t exist. Like my favorite conspiracy theory, just because it’s written about on the internet doesn’t mean it has any validity.

And Q3 lease programs are trash. You are better off buying it if that’s the only car you want.

Ah ok good to know and thanks!

Know anything about the Q4 lease programs? Looks like they are even cheaper even though the MSRP is higher. Leasing for tax reasons through my business.

What do you wish to know?

MSRP often does not correlate to the total lease cost.

Look at XC40 - similar size but it leases much better and is arguably a lot nicer. Q3 felt very rudimentary compared to it when I had it as a rental. XC40 is more refined.

Hey all, this is for the sport package for an Audi Q3 45 S series. Got 8.5% off of MSRP, which I feel good about and seemed like the most they would deal.

Lease calculator below.

Don’t you have to pay taxes upfront in NY?

If you’re set on Audi, I’d look at the A4 Etron if you can charge it at home, as lease rates are very good on this vehicle…see deals here on LH. I financed a 2023 Q3 Prem Plus loaner a couple months ago (3500 miles) that was fully loaded (everything but park assist) $50K MSRP, for $38K. Lease deals on the Q3 are not that great.

OP mentioned garage charges in Manhattan, so I assume they cannot charge at home…?

None of the fundamentals changed. Why would anyone spend anywhere near $22k to lease a car for 22.5k miles? And on a car that was selling for 42k plus tax?

All the prior replies remain unchanged as far as I can tell. I don’t think getting 10 or 12% off would change the reality you’re up against.

You asked about the Q4e. Can you just specify what the length limit is before your parking costs almost double?

If you’re open to EV you should specify that too.

To hack a lease you need to be more agnostic about brands. This is not a good month for Audi lease, hasn’t been for a while.

Thanks. I’m still finding value here even though I’m somewhat set on the car. I understand I would get a better deal if that wasn’t important.

Not sure if I was the one that brought Q4e up but yeah I don’t think electric will work for me yet mainly because I don’t have a way to set up a home charger and its not a complication I want to add in at this point.

Check the Marketplace to see how this compares.

BTW, don’t you have to pay taxes upfront? (that’s not checked in the calculator)

If you can afford it, consider MSDs.

I think you are missing a rebate/incentive in your calc…I think there is 2500 available at least.

There is, through June 3— all the dealers poo poo it or tell me that thier MSRP discount is better. How can I force their hand with the 2500?

You should get their MSRP discount along with the rebate…otherwise they are burying it to make like it is their discount.

Again, this is where you need to be smarter than them and put together your target deal in the calc and ask them to meet that payment/DAS.

This isn’t necessarily a manufacturer rebate. This thread is a few yrs old, but perhaps the info might still be correct.

Edit: I thought folks were talking about a Costco rebate, for some reason.

What?! Offer/rebate/whatever I’m getting it on top of discount I negotiate and on an Audi Q that would have to be 8-12% alone.

I’m being told by dealer that if I use the $2500 customer bonus that the MF goes up from .00228 to .00389 so a really crappy APR.

Walk away. Put your target deal together and shop it to many dealers. Find and use a broker. Target another car.
