Audi On Demand Rental Car Program Shut Down

The slogan was a bit of a stretch even before this news.

I never used this service when I had my Etron because the dealers were bit out of reach for someone who lives in NYC. But I did recommend this to a friend and he did test drive an Audi once. Cars seemed to be always unavailable when I checked their site.

There were a couple of times it would have been nice to have a gas Audi (iirc my EV came with 5 free rental days), but the closest locations were 125+ miles away, which made it completely impractical to use the benefit.

i used this when they were still silvercar. it progressively got worse and worse, very expensive to say the least

I received seven free days with my Q3 purchased in September 2020 right around when their footprint started to shrink. They automatically extended the expiration date multiple times but I still never found a use for them. Nothing local to me and even if they were somewhere I was traveling to, the location and times were too inconvenient to justify using them.

The program started shutting down and dealers were not participating in it for a while. I used my free rental days from my etron, but it was a pain. The cars were never clean.

Audi ruined it when they acquired it. Silvercar was great

Echoing other people’s sentiment – Loved it when it was Silvercar. Overall great service and a nice alternative to the traditional guys. When they moved to doing rentals out of dealerships, it was near impossible to use them.
