Audi North America Club - 6% discount MSRP

I saw on the Audi Club of North America that if you are a member ($49/year) you get a 6% discount off MSRP on a new Audi purchase through authorized dealers. Does this actually work? Anybody used this to try and get an Audi lease that is not terrible?

In the fine print there are some models they are excluding but not the Q5 and not the Q7 2.0 engine.

Fine print:*At participating dealers, you will be able to purchase or lease select new MY16, MY17 and MY18 Audi models at 6% below MSRP (excluding TTRS, RS3 , RS5, RS7, A5 Sportback, S5 Sportback, Audi Q7 3.0T, A8, W12, S8 Plus and R8). Contact your dealer prior to purchase to confirm their participation in the program

Is 6% off MSRP not attainable without any club affiliation? Never negotiated on an Audi but I imagine 6% being pretty easy to get.

When I visited and test drove a few A4’s in the summer dealer was offering up to 6% off msrp off the bat so im not sure what the incentive would be here. Doesn’t seem like a big benefit.
