Helped a friend with a lease deal at another Audi Dealer, but they won’t send a copy of contract. Advice? I’ve had her ask twice now and signing is tomorrow.
if the numbers aren’t outlined already in something- that’s kind of shady. I would want some evidence of the agreement- text, email to be sure that we were on the same page before making my way there.
But honest deals like @Samaudibh provides the sample contract and the necessary deal info. No one wants to waste more time.
But if they are already agreed upon- just be sure your friend reviews them before actually signing. #TrustButVerify
Thanks. Is it weird at this point since I moved away from the talk to come back and ask for her? There was a buy order provided but limited info in it other than mileage and month for the car. Otherwise, he just responds that she can view it with finance tomorrow. Which… yea… of course she can, she’ll be there to sign.
If your friend wants you to- you really have nothing to lose. The worst that they can say is “no” IMO.
Once you’re there, NJ law AFAIK gives you the right to take the unsigned contract home for 24 hours to review.
I’ve had no problem getting a copy from another dealer twice, no questions asked. This guy just responded that “ This isn’t something we typically do, but the numbers are what we agreed.” Really not interested in having my time wasted. Find this really odd.
If you have no other reason to be suspicious, your time probably won’t be wasted.
The original deal was $535/mo $2500 upfront and $4500 MSD, MF .00082 (base) and RV 54%. We added audicare and the new upfront is $37xx. I asked why this wasn’t rolled into the payment the dealer responds so it doesn’t change the MSD. Adding Audicare raises the residual value by 1%, if I’m not mistaken this should actually decrease the monthly payment. Am I wrong in thinking the dealer is trying to either not do the extra work or trying to pocket the money by taking it upfront in a lump sum.
And yes it is very much a fact that audicare increases the RV.
Yes, you are wrong. Have you done the simple math comparing the cost of AudiCare vs the 1% RV bump? Why would AFS sell AudiCare if they are paying you to get it?
@KeithAy keep all your questions about this mystery car in one thread.
What is a higher number… The cost of audicare or 1% of $48k?
I never understand Leasehackr sarcasm.
Anyway, they’re not paying me no.
I had both my Audi’s have audicare rolled into the payment. My monthly didn’t change. The RV goes up 1%.
This deal I’m being told it affects the MSD which I don’t understand and that the new due at signing is $37xx.
If I’m understanding this correctly he’s not capping AudiCare by paying for it DAS. So the only change in the monthly is a 1% increase in RV
The cost of Audicare by $500.
What I should see then, is with the addition of audicare the monthly decrease by $14 or $500 over 3 years if I’m paying for audicare upfront.
Or am I wrong again. Apologies, I work long night shifts I’m staying awake to help my friend with this.
What is this mystery car? Because on something around $48k MSRP like an A4, it costs $999
I dont know why I titled it a mystery, idk if that was autocorrect. It’s a Q5. The audicare is $999 supposedly it’s taxed and the new amount due is ~$1200. I’m confused since I had mine rolled in on the contract it just says itemized Audicare $999.
If you roll the cost of AudiCare into the monthly, obviously it should go up. If it makes your monthly above the threshold of each MSD, then your MSD amount will change.
Agreed. Now, if I pay it upfront and it increases the RV by 1%, then shouldn’t the monthly in fact go down?
If you pay for AudiCare upfront, yes, the monthly would be lower.
Thank you! I dont know why I couldn’t make sense of it but he wasn’t changing the deal/payments to reflect the addition of audicare. I wasn’t sure if I was crazy I needed some help. Thanks.
