Audi Lease - Pointers & Costco Auto Buying Program

, ,

I’m in the market for an Audi Q5 lease (current VW lease is up Nov 10th) and I’m not an active Costco member. Looks like I missed the chance to get a Costco membership in time for the current incentive since the cut-off was July 31st. So before I pay for a Costco membership (have no need for one otherwise), how likely is it that they will they will renew the Audi one for the 4th Quarter? i.e.- Does Costco they normally keep the Audi program quarter to quarter or for back-to-back quarters?

Any other pointers/tips on incentives or timing for my lease? Again, my current VW lease is up in early November…
-Is the current $5000 in manufactures cash worth it before it expires September 5th (ie- am I not going to see more than $2000 after it expires?).
-Is it better to wait until end of October when they are desperate to get rid of 2024’s?
-Will the rumored port strike jeopardize the supply chain for the Q5?
-Any other pointers/tips/advice?

Audi Limited-Time Special | Costco Auto Program
Terms & Conditions:
To qualify for the Audi Limited-Time Special, you must: (1) be a current Costco member by July 31, 2024; (2) register with Costco Auto Program online or through its call center to receive a certificate with your unique promotion code by September 30, 2024; (3) present your certificate and unique promotion code to a participating Audi dealer at the time of visit; (4) purchase or lease a select, new and unused 2024 or 2025 Audi between August 1, 2024 and October 15, 2024 to receive a Costco member-only incentive.

Costco should be the least of your concerns. Q5 leases are atrocious

And Costco membership can be fully refunded in 364 days, so it’s not really an expense.

Ha, thanks @max_g. What cars do you recommend if I’m looking for a luxury/luxury-ish 2 row midsize (comparable to Q5 or larger) SUV lease, if I’m targeting under $500/mo w/ $0 down?

To save you from max, you should do some searching in the marketplace and kind of get a feel for the forum. It’ll make it much easier for you to understand what is leasing well.

That’s not happening if you’re looking for BMW, Mercedes, etc.

And even if it was possible on a Q5, it’s just an empty suit. Don’t get scammed by “Luxury” that’s nothing more than a badge.

The nicest interiors and materials on non-luxury brands will generally be Hyundai, Kia and Mazda.
