Audi has a usp problem. Its like someone told Ned Flanders to modify porsches to their liking or as one calls them the Buicks of Germany/VAG.
Nothing too fast, nothing to special, muted luxury was the MO, coupled with dealerships who until recently kicked you to the curb if you mentioned anything about a discount.
They have a couple of bangers with the RS7 and some avants but everything else?
The article mentions Audi moves upmarket…so porsche is going to the moon?
The Talking Parrot will definitely chime in here as he absolutely hates Audis, their designs, etc.
You should start one for Volvos as well so he can unleash his hate on Sweden, China and Geely too.
Sterile brand
Audi RS series looks better compare to the current BMW M-series & Benz AMG
Our 2024 Audi has the exact same interior as our 2019 Audi. Stale would be an understatement
I kinda like the interior in my 25’ sq6, very techie and modern, the exterior, it’s ok, but I agree it hasn’t changed much in years.
Ouch, I’m just comparing the exterior, haven’t look the interior on this car.
Most Audis are bland until your start spending $80k plus
Had a ‘21 or ‘22 coupe e-tron (some kinda suv didn’t have a number) and ‘24 Q7 45 brand new both as loaner terrible terrible cars
Both cars had the same infotainment as my RS etron gt.
Q7 was one pathetic performing car, so miserable I wanted to KMS driving it sometimes. Always had to have it dynamic mode otherwise it’d refuse to move at an acceptable pace. Only great thing was the gas mileage.
Had an A6 loaner multiple times same issue, terrible drivetrain and just boring as usual
Even the RS etrons party trick was the acceleration and parking it using the app - that’s it
I would be mad if I actually spent $150k and ended up having the same infotainment as a base Q7
Either bring exciting engines or put some effort into building cars - Porsche does it and they are flourishing
Yeah went to check out a SQ8 etron coupe and wife was like “this feels like a Q4, why is it so cheap?”
Audi’s global 2024 volume was down 12%. Turns out upbadged VW’s are less desirable than Teslas.
Mercedes was down 4% and BMW Group down 2% in 2024.
Probably because BMW doesn’t have a dumb-as-rocks loyalty program like Mercedes, and BMW has @IAC slinging lots of Bimmers but no Audis.
@kiasorento1976 … get your wallet ready. Audi will probably mess it up and put a hybrid / electric diesel PHEV in it.
Shedding 7500 people for a company the size of Audi over the course of four years is nothing.
They can do that by simple retirement and attrition.
Happy Cake Day dude.
