Dealership F&I stated it’s required by Audi that I service an etron GT twice, once after the first year and 2nd time between 1st and 2nd year, and stated it’s more expensive than the $899 for Audi Care.
Is this true or is he lying to my face?

Are you leasing? Did you know that Audi care adds 1% to the residual?
Seems like a no brained.
Yes, this is a 24 month lease. They’re doing some weird funky stuff under the hood and that’s not translating with the 1% increase in residual.
Pretty much every German brand will have recommended services typically around every 10k miles or 1 year, but no one is going to hold a gun to your head and require you to do them.
You just need to research what Audi recommends for the services on an etron (and what realistically needs to be done) and whether you’d be better off paying for them individually or with Audi Care.
Also I updated your title to be more descriptive as we have a lot of current and former e-tron lessees around here who can provide more recommendations.
This
isn’t the same as
Call the service department, tell them you just moved into the area with a new Eat-Ron, and you’d like to know the cost of the regularly scheduled service at the recommended intervals for X years and Y miles.
You don’t even have to go to an Audi dealership
Walk away
How do you know they are doing something funky? Does the payment go up when they add it?
Simply ask them for the breakdown without it. Then simply prove the math out for them from there. Will basically be free. So even if you move on to another dealership you’ll want to add it at the end.
Can someone explain to me how Audi Care gets reflected into the paperwork / LH calculator? I see several posts that say they’re getting Audi Care for the residual bump, but the calculators only seem to have the +1% residual and omit the cost.
For example, suppose dealer fees is $100, does it just go up to $1000 (assuming $899 Audi Care). Assuming fees paid up-front, that would DAS and lower monthly, making it a wash. Or is Audi Care a separate line item and not a “dealer fee.” Do people prefer to pay it up front or roll it into payments.
I just do it manually. Add cost to selling price and raise residual by 1%
Surely you meant increase RV?
Lol that would be a horrible deal. Good catch. I edited the post.
