Audi Allroad Lease

,

I’ve heard previously that Audi’s lease very poorly, but I’m looking at possibly an A4 Allroad for my next vehicle. Why not trying to negotiate super aggressively, I just wanted to get some kind of starting number to go off from at a local dealership. Here’s what I got:

MSRP: $51940
Selling Price: $49344 (5% off)
Miles: 12,000
Residual: 54%
MF: .00111
Due at signing $3500 (First payment, DMV, Tax, and $269 Cap cost)

Monthly Payment: $711 ($825 for nothing due at start)

I wasn’t exactly expecting the numbers to be this high, or am I just living in a fantasy realm? To finance the same vehicle is $850 a month for 60 months or $725 for 72 months. I was surprised that the cost to finance is almost the same as the cost to lease it.

Does anybody else have any experience with allroad leases?

Did you think it wouldn’t apply to you? Even with a better discount, it won’t be a good lease.

That low residual and lack of incentives really hurt. Buying this car wouldn’t make sense either… your depreciation will be killer…

I would step back and take a hard pass on this deal let inventory build back up and see if dealers are more aggressive as others have said lease or purchase makes no sense. If you were to purchase you would take a bath on this as stated above.

Not all Audis lease poorly, but rarely do wagons (especially Allroads) lease well.

If you’re a Costco member Costco is running deals with Audi Now- September 30th. Employee pricing is advertised at 10% off. Plus a $500 Costco card.
